MAKE FERMENTED CARROT STICKS - How to Ferment Carrots for beginners.
There are a few things you need to consider when making fermented food, whether it be Carrot Sticks, Kombucha or anything else you are fermenting and that is to -
-Clean hands leaving no soap residue and don't use anti bacteria soap or sanitizer.
-Sterilize equipment and rinse well.
-Use filtered water with no chlorine, fluoride or other additives the authorities deem fit to put in your water.
-Use a quality Sea Salt with no anti caking agents or Iodine.
-If you are using shop bought carrots be sure to peel them.
-You will need a Fridge or Root Cellar to store your fermented food.

BRINE - 1 Tablespoon of Sea Salt for every Cup of Filtered Water - dissolved
It is definitely worth it to make Fermented Carrot Sticks, they are a good way to preserve the harvest, are a delicious crunchy snack and are a good pro Biotic, which is good to include as part of your diet, to diversify your good gut bacteria.
