MAKE YOGURT WITH A YOGURT MAKER - DIY Yogurt Making

It is actually quite easy to make Yogurt with a Yogurt Maker, it taste delicious, is very good for your gut health and homemade yogurt has no added nasties or sugar, so it's definitely something to add to your homesteading life, if you're not already doing it.

I love knowing that I am waking up to freshly made yogurt.

Get all of your supplies together for the DIY yogurt making process and once your yogurt is made and in the yogurt maker, all you have to do is wait for it to be ready and enjoy.

I litre Milk (2.12 US Liquid Pint)

1/8 Teaspoon Bulgarian Yogurt Starter (see link below)

In Saucepan bring milk to 100C / 212F, remove from heat instantly

Cool to 43C / 109F

Strain skin out of milk

Add 1/8 Teaspoon Yogurt Starter (or 2 Tablespoons of homemade Yogurt)

Fill sterilized yogurt jars with mixture and put lids on

place jars in yogurt maker with 1 inch of warm water in bottom

Set temperature at 42C / 107F for 12 hours, start Yogurt Machine

I enjoy freshly made and still warm yogurt, but the rest of the yogurt gets stored in the fridge for up to 10 days.
